Corrugated 2 Ply Sheets

The ply value in corrugated boxes refers to the number of layers of corrugated material used to make the box. Corrugated boxes are made up of three layers – an inner liner, an outer liner, and a corrugated medium between the two liners. The corrugated medium is what gives the box its strength and stability.

Structure and Construction

  • Layers: It consists of a single layer of fluted paper attached to a single flat sheet, or "linerboard." The fluted layer, also known as the "medium," provides cushioning and impact resistance.
  • Materials: 2-ply sheets are typically made from recycled kraft paper, a strong, eco-friendly, and biodegradable material.
  • Dimensions: Available in various widths and lengths, most commonly sold in rolls that can be easily cut to size.
